BookMeDoc is a platform that clinics use to manage appointments, prescriptions and patient records. This policy explains what information we handle and why. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

Who is responsible for your data

The clinic you visit decides what patient information it records and is responsible for it. BookMeDoc processes that information on the clinic's behalf, only to provide the service.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, mobile number and role for clinic staff, doctors and patients.
• Health information entered by the clinic: appointments, prescriptions, medical records, allergies and conditions.
• Clinic details: clinic name, address and GST number.
• Technical data: basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

• To book appointments, run queues and deliver prescriptions
• To send service messages such as OTPs, welcome emails, reminders and prescriptions by email or WhatsApp
• To show clinics reports about their own activity
• To keep the service secure and prevent misuse

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. When a clinic uses the optional AI report analysis, only totals and doctor names are sent to the AI provider, never patient details.

Who can see it

Each clinic's data is kept separate from every other clinic. Within a clinic, access depends on role. Service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, database, email and messaging) process data only to provide those services.

Security and retention

Data is protected in transit and at rest, and passwords are stored only as secure hashes. We keep data for as long as the clinic's account is active or as the law requires, then delete it.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent for messages (reply STOP to a WhatsApp message), or raise a complaint. Contact your clinic first, or email us at bookmedoc@gmail.com.
